Teachers and children alike enjoyed dressing up as their favourite character from a book today. We had so many brilliant costumes!
To kick start World Book Day the whole school gathered in the hall with accompanying beanbags, blankets and books of course! The children in class 3 paired up with children from classes 1 and 2 to read with them. The children had a fantastic time sharing books with each other.
For the rest of the morning, inspired by their class reading books, years 3 and 4 wrote book reviews, studied and recreated Quentin Blake’s artwork. The year 5 and 6 children re-created the London skyline inspired by the book they are currently studying: The London Eye Mystery.
